Vykyng Martial Arts Club

Vykyng Martial Arts Club in Zephyrhills was founded by Coach Vykyng Hayden Hetrick, a combat veteran and lifelong martial artist with deep experience in both American and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as Kosen and Kodokan Judo. Coach Vykyng leads the academy with a structured, progression-based approach, drawing on his background in military service and martial arts to shape a disciplined, purposeful training environment. The academy, formerly known as Zephyrhills BJJ, was re-established in 2024 with the goal of providing students a clear path from fundamentals to advanced skills, emphasizing steady improvement through honest work on the mat. The teaching team brings real-world credentials to every class. Coach Yetti Joel Marietti, an Army veteran and competitive wrestler, directs wrestling and No-Gi development with a focus on takedowns, pressure, and athletic growth. Striking and MMA are led by Coach Leigh Andre, a law enforcement officer and former ISKA kickboxing champion. Women’s coaching and health guidance are supported by Coach Nhung Hetrick, a board-certified nurse practitioner and active Jiu-Jitsu competitor, while Dr. Kindra Marietti, a licensed psychologist, contributes to the academy’s wellness and family-centered culture. Vykyng Martial Arts Club offers a full curriculum for kids, teens, and adults, starting as young as age four. The core programs cover Gi Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, No-Gi wrestling, and striking for MMA, all taught in coach-led sessions that move students step-by-step from standing to control and submission. The academy is wheelchair accessible and welcomes drop-ins. Families, veterans, and law enforcement are a visible part of the room, and the academy is an approved Step Up For Students Direct-Pay Provider, making it accessible for eligible families seeking disciplined, progression-based martial arts training.
