Yuma Top Team

Yuma Top Team has grown into a cornerstone for martial arts in Yuma, Arizona, offering a wide mix of disciplines for both kids and adults. The coaching roster brings together years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, karate, and MMA. Coaches like Carlos, John, Billy, Chris, and Jonathan each lead classes in their specialties, guiding students from their first steps on the mat up through advanced training. The goal has always been to make sure everyone—from beginners to aspiring fighters—has a place to train, learn, and challenge themselves. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Yuma Top Team is taught in the gi, with adult classes led by Coach Carlos and a dedicated kids’ program with Coach John. The schedule also includes wrestling for MMA, regular open mats, and a Thursday “10 Round” session for those looking to push their pace. Sparring is a regular part of the adult BJJ program, giving students a chance to test their skills in live situations. For striking, the academy covers Muay Thai, boxing, and karate, with both adult and kids’ classes running throughout the week. Kids can also join taekwondo and specialized striking sessions, building confidence and athleticism from a young age. The gym welcomes drop-ins and makes it easy for families to get involved, with programs designed for all ages.
