Walensky BJJ

Walensky BJJ is headed by Brandon Walensky, a black belt competitor and instructor whose journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 2009. Over the years, Brandon has earned multiple IBJJF titles across belt levels, including Pan and World No-Gi Championships as a brown belt and several black belt tournament victories as recent as 2025. His experience competing internationally and teaching worldwide shapes the academy’s approach, emphasizing technical precision and competitive readiness. The school’s curriculum centers on traditional gi training, with daily classes for adults covering fundamentals, technique instruction, and sparring. Beginners can attend fundamentals classes designed to build a solid foundation, while more advanced students engage in open sparring sessions. Kids’ programs are divided by age groups starting as young as four years old, offering both gi and no-gi instruction to develop coordination and grappling skills early on. No-gi classes for adults are scheduled midweek and Fridays, including both instruction and sparring sessions. Open mat sessions on Saturdays allow students to train in gi or no-gi formats, supporting independent drilling and live rolling. Walensky BJJ’s schedule reflects a balanced focus on gi tradition complemented by no-gi training, accommodating practitioners who want to compete or simply improve their skills in either format.
