Trifecta MMA/BJJ

Trifecta MMA/BJJ in Visalia was founded by Marion Reneau, a retired UFC fighter who reached a #6 world ranking, and Armando Perez Jr. The academy was born out of Marion’s need for a dedicated training space in her hometown, and together with Armando, she built a gym that reflects their passion for martial arts and their commitment to the local community. Marion brings over 15 years of MMA and striking experience and 14 years of BJJ to the mats, drawing on a career spent competing at the highest levels. The coaching team at Trifecta includes Marion Reneau and Armando Perez Jr, both BJJ black belts, along with Chris Barsteceanu and Gabby Valdez, also black belts, and Gracyn Valdez, who leads the youngest students. Their approach emphasizes character and personal growth as much as technique, focusing on building strong role models both on and off the mats. The academy is affiliated with Unique Logic BJJ, under the guidance of Professor Lucas Rocha. Training at Trifecta covers a wide range of ages and disciplines. The schedule includes Little Ninjas classes for ages 3-5, kids’ gi BJJ for 6-13, and youth Muay Thai. Adults have access to BJJ at all levels, striking/MMA, and no-gi/wrestling instruction. The women’s BJJ program is a standout, drawing participants from teens to age 60, and is recognized as the largest in the valley. The academy welcomes families and drop-in visitors, and the facility is wheelchair accessible, making it a practical choice for a broad spectrum of students in Visalia.
