With over 29 years of experience in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and more than 15 years coaching, Coach Yousef draws on a decorated background that includes national wrestling championships, world titles in Sambo, and multiple Pan American medals. He sees the martial arts as a means for students to gain discipline, focus, and perseverance, using the techniques of BJJ and wrestling as tools for personal growth and self-improvement. Classes at Star BJJ reflect this philosophy, blending traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with wrestling, Muay Thai, and boxing. The academy offers both gi and no-gi BJJ for adults, along with open mats that welcome drop-ins. Wrestling is a core part of the curriculum, shaped by Coach Yousef’s own competitive pedigree. For those interested in striking, adult boxing and Muay Thai classes are available.
