Sloth BJJ

Sloth BJJ in Euless, Texas was founded by Nathan "Sloth" Hallford, an IBJJF-certified black belt who has been training since 2009 and teaching since opening the academy in 2017. Hallford earned his black belt in December 2016 after years of competition from white through brown belt, including appearances at Fight To Win events. He leads a team of coaches—such as Blas Carrasco, a brown belt with decades of martial arts experience, and Timothy Loudermilk, a brown belt with a background in kinesiology—who all share a commitment to technical excellence and personal growth on and off the mats. The academy offers structured programs for all ages, including the Little Sloths BJJ classes for children ages 5 to 12, which emphasize fundamental Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills as well as life lessons in discipline, confidence, and respect. Adults train in a curriculum that balances technical instruction, fitness, and practical self-defense, with a pace that allows both beginners and advanced students to progress together. In addition to its BJJ programs, Sloth BJJ also offers Muay Thai, giving students a chance to cross-train in striking and further round out their martial arts education. Sloth BJJ’s teaching philosophy centers on integrity, persistence, and mutual respect—values that shape every class and interaction. The academy is known for its family-friendly approach, with parents and children often training side by side and a coaching staff that invests in the success of each student.
