Ryan brings a rare combination of high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and collegiate wrestling experience, along with a direct lineage to Carlson Gracie and Ricardo Libório. The academy offers structured classes for kids (ages 4–8), juniors (9–14), and adults (15+), with programs designed to develop confidence, discipline, and real self-defense skills. Live training and a strong emphasis on fundamentals are central to every class, and Ryan’s wrestling background adds another layer to the takedown and top-control aspects of the curriculum. Classes run throughout the week, including evening sessions and a Saturday open mat, making it easy for families and working adults to find a time that fits. The academy welcomes beginners as well as experienced grapplers, and supports law enforcement and military personnel through partnerships with the We Defy Foundation and Adopt-a-Cop BJJ. Ryan Thomas BJJ is committed to helping students of all ages grow on and off the mats, rooted in a tradition that values discipline, respect, and technical mastery.
