Profectus BJJ

Profectus BJJ in Brentwood is closely tied to founder Jeremy Akin and the Luiz Palhares lineage. Akin began training with Palhares in 2002 and became the first American to progress from white belt to black belt under him; Palhares himself received his black belt from Helio and Rickson Gracie in 1984. That gives Profectus an unusually clear lineage story for a modern Tennessee academy. The school is not living only on history. Current ADCC activity data links five athletes directly to Profectus, led by Bryce Lamb, which places the academy in Let’s Roll’s Active Competitors tier.
