Peerless Jiu Jitsu Academy

Peerless Jiu Jitsu Academy has served Corona since 2017 under the leadership of Professor Stephen Martinez, a black belt under Romie Aram and a four-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion. Martinez is known for his technical clarity and patient approach, and he’s supported by a sizable coaching staff that includes more than a dozen black belts. The academy was founded with the goal of making a lasting, positive impact both on and off the mats, and that commitment shapes the daily atmosphere—students here learn from instructors who value discipline, respect, and steady technical growth. Classes at Peerless cover the full range of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with a structured path from fundamentals to advanced competition training. Adults train in both gi and no-gi formats throughout the week, and the schedule includes morning, evening, and weekend sessions. Free open mats encourage cross-training and community, while a dedicated law enforcement tactics program gives officers practical control and defensive skills. Drop-in visitors are welcome to observe or join classes, and the facility is wheelchair accessible. The kids’ program is a cornerstone of Peerless, starting as early as age 3 with pee wee classes and continuing through structured kids gi sessions up to age 14. Young students build discipline, confidence, and real self-defense skills under the guidance of experienced coaches who prioritize clear instruction and individual attention. The academy’s family orientation is reflected in its flexible class times and the visible milestones of student progress, from belt promotions to competition achievements.
