Claim this gymParramatta Jiu Jitsu Academy has grown from its beginnings as Gracie Parramatta in 2016 into a well-established fixture in the Parramatta martial arts community. The academy was founded by Jairson Rosa, a second degree black belt under Professor Bruno Panno, and remains closely linked to the Gracie Humaita tradition through Master Royler Gracie. Jairson’s approach reflects years of experience on the mats, shaped by the values and technical standards of his instructors. From the outset, the goal has been to offer authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while building a place where families and individuals can develop confidence, discipline and lifelong friendships. Instruction at the academy is structured to support steady progression. Adults train in both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with general classes forming the core of the timetable. Foundation classes focus on key techniques and concepts, while more advanced sessions build on these skills. The schedule also includes takedown classes and a dedicated combat jiu-jitsu session, where self-defence applications are emphasised. For younger students, the kids’ and teens’ program is divided into three overlapping age groups, allowing children to find the right fit as they grow and develop. Classes run six days a week, with options for lunch, evening and weekend training to suit a range of schedules. The academy maintains two large mat spaces, providing ample room for busy sessions and grading events. Parramatta Jiu Jitsu Academy continues to evolve its programs and facilities, but the technical foundation and community spirit established by its founder remain central to everything that happens on the mats.
