Paragon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Morgan Hill is led by John Murphy, a black belt under Chris Lovato with over 15 years of experience in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. The academy traces its lineage to Ricardo ‘Franjinha’ Miller, a multiple-time world champion and student of Romero ‘Jacare’ Cavalcanti, who founded the Paragon network in Santa Barbara in 1998. This connection provides Morgan Hill students access to a broad network of Paragon locations across California. Training at Paragon Morgan Hill takes place in a 6,800-square-foot facility with a 36-by-100-foot mat, offering ample space for both gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing classes. The academy runs programs for adults and children, including gi BJJ classes for kids as young as four years old and separate kickboxing sessions for children seven and up. The curriculum balances fundamentals with opportunities for progression, supporting a range of skill levels within structured class formats. Beyond group classes, the gym welcomes drop-ins and maintains wheelchair accessibility, reflecting its practical approach to training.
