OM Jiu Jitsu

OM Jiu Jitsu in Lake Forest is built on a foundation of certified IBJJF black belt instruction, blending the traditions of Gracie lineage with the innovative approach of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. The academy’s team of Safe Sport–certified coaches, including Professor Ashleigh and Professor Patrick, have developed a curriculum that emphasizes both classic gi fundamentals and modern no-gi techniques. Their approach is rooted in disciplined, respectful training, with a clear focus on developing practical self-defense skills and personal growth for every student. Classes at OM Jiu Jitsu are structured by age and experience, starting with the Tiny Champs program for children ages 3–5, moving through Youth (6–8) and Junior (9–14) Jiu Jitsu, and continuing into adult programs. Each stage is designed to build confidence, coordination, and character, while challenging students to progress at their own pace. Adults can choose between gi and no-gi classes, with open mat sessions available for students looking to sharpen their skills or work on specific techniques in a less formal setting. The academy operates within Clava Fitness and welcomes families to train together, encouraging parents to observe and support their children during class. With a mission that extends beyond the mats, OM Jiu Jitsu regularly hosts events and seminars aimed at fostering lasting connections and promoting health and discipline throughout the Lake Forest area.
