November Tango Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Great Bend, Kansas, has been teaching the art since 2015. Founded from a shared passion and a clear vision to make Brazilian Jiu Jitsu accessible, the academy focuses on helping students build solid fundamentals and steadily progress in the sport. The school doesn’t just cater to one type of student; it supports learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, emphasizing a straightforward and practical approach to BJJ. Training at November Tango covers both gi and no-gi formats, with classes structured to include kids’ sessions as well as adult instruction. Kids’ Jiu Jitsu classes run on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, while adults can train in gi classes on Tuesdays and a combined gi/no-gi class on Wednesdays. The schedule also features open mat sessions on Saturday mornings, providing additional time for students to drill techniques or spar informally. The academy is mindful of the broader martial arts community, acknowledging how disciplines like judo, wrestling, and sambo can complement BJJ skills. While the head instructor isn’t named publicly, the emphasis remains on clear, accessible teaching rather than competition accolades. November Tango maintains an open-door policy for drop-ins and welcomes anyone interested in exploring Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, regardless of prior experience or athletic background.
