Nomad Jiu Jitsu Club was founded by Rory Every and Sage Bender, two veterans of the MMA and Jiu-Jitsu community with a combined three decades of martial arts experience. Their goal in opening the club was to create a space in Holly Hill where people could challenge themselves physically and mentally through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy is located at 1011 8th St and is designed as a clean, safe training environment for anyone serious about learning the art. At Nomad, Rory and Sage bring their backgrounds in both MMA and Jiu-Jitsu to the mats, offering instruction that reflects years of practical experience. The programs are structured to help students build a strong foundation, with attention given to both the technical and strategic aspects of grappling. While the academy welcomes a range of ages and skill levels, the focus remains on quality instruction and steady progression for those who commit to regular training. Training sessions at the club emphasize real skill development, whether students are new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or looking to deepen their understanding after years on the mat. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and visitors can expect a straightforward, no-nonsense approach from instructors who have spent much of their lives immersed in combat sports.
