No Limits Jiu Jitsu and Fitness opened its doors in 2024 in Belen, New Mexico, under veteran ownership. Shortly after its founding, the academy joined the G13BJJ team, opening opportunities for its members to compete in events such as the IBJJF Master Worlds. The school focuses on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a discipline that develops self-defense skills alongside endurance and mental resilience. The academy offers instruction across gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for adults, with classes structured to accommodate both beginners and more experienced practitioners. Kids’ classes are divided into age groups—4 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years—providing a gi-based curriculum tailored to younger students. Open mat sessions are available regularly, including all-levels classes and specific times for no-gi training, giving students flexibility to drill and spar. In addition to grappling, No Limits integrates striking through kickboxing classes and open mat sessions. The facility is wheelchair accessible, supporting a range of practitioners. The school’s approach emphasizes steady progression guided by certified coaches, with a focus on cultivating both physical skill and the mental toughness necessary to push beyond personal limits.
