Claim this gymNinja School in London was created to give young people a space where martial arts training goes hand in hand with physical, mental and emotional development. Founded by Harry Bovill, a social entrepreneur with a background in educational innovation, and supported by a team including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Miles Hayton and boxing coach Reece Fletcher, the school brings together a variety of disciplines under one roof. The founding team’s vision was shaped by their own experiences in sport and martial arts, aiming to build the kind of academy they wished they’d had as children. The core curriculum at Ninja School blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, taijutsu and shurikenjutsu, alongside physical conditioning and mindfulness practices. Classes are structured around age groups: Ninja Cubs for ages 3–5, Ninja School for 5–11, and Ninja MMA for those 11 and up. Each session uses interactive storytelling and problem-solving games to keep children engaged, building not just technical skills but also confidence and teamwork. The grading system reinforces emotional intelligence, physical strength and mental discipline, reflecting the school’s holistic approach. Sessions are held during term time at Thomas Tallis Secondary School in Kidbrooke and at a second location in Walthamstow. Ninja School also collaborates with local primary and secondary schools, bringing their curriculum to a wider community. The academy’s focus remains on helping children move intelligently, build healthy relationships and develop the resilience to face challenges, all within a safe and stimulating environment.
