Claim this gymMatador MMA & BJJ Academy teaches under a team of instructors listed on its About page, with Pavel and Dane named as the BJJ professors who handle the bulk of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Pavel is presented as the academy’s BJJ professor and appears to lead the gi-focused Adult and Kids Jiu-Jitsu streams, while Dane is listed specifically as a professor for BJJ No-Gi and runs the Adult No-Gi classes. That instructor split shows in daily teaching: technique-focused gi classes for fundamentals and child programming, and dedicated no-gi sessions that emphasise flow and scrambling for the older teen and adult groups. Matador MMA & BJJ Academy operates as a multi-discipline facility at 5875 Hwy 7 Unit 4 in Woodbridge, offering a structured weekly program that includes Kids Jiu-Jitsu (4–7), Youth Jiu-Jitsu (8–12), Adult Jiu-Jitsu (13+), Adult No-Gi, plus complementary striking and wrestling streams. Coaching staff listed alongside the BJJ professors include Anastasia Nikolakakos (Coach – MMA) and Muay Thai coaches Ivan and Xavier, reflecting an integrated MMA curriculum where stand-up, wrestling and ground work are scheduled as separate classes to let students focus on specific skill sets. Practical details on the academy website show typical member services such as booking a free trial, scheduling classes, purchasing monthly passes and the ability to request membership holds or cancellations. Contact is available by phone at 905-605-7276 and via matadormma.com for current class times and registration; the site also notes occasional cross-promotions between kids’ enrolment and limited adult access.
