Martinez BJJ NJ is led by William Martinez Jr., a third-degree black belt awarded by Master Carlos Machado in 2012. With a professional MMA background that includes a 13-3-1 record and wins in Bellator, Martinez brings a depth of competition experience to the gym. He began training MMA in 2007 and has worked alongside notable fighters such as Eddie Alvarez and Ryan Hall. Since opening his first school in Philadelphia in 2011, Martinez has developed a strong coaching presence, particularly in MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while maintaining an active competition schedule in both gi and no-gi grappling. The Moorestown location, Martinez BJJ NJ, offers both gi and no-gi classes for all ages and skill levels. The curriculum focuses on grappling and ground fighting techniques, emphasizing submissions like joint locks and chokes. Students progress through a structured program that supports both sport competition and practical self-defense. The academy also runs one of the largest kids and teens programs in the area, reflecting Martinez’s commitment to developing young athletes alongside adults.
