Manchak Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is led by Professor Mike Manchak, a third-degree black belt under Matt Waterhouse with nearly two decades of experience on the mats. Mike’s lineage traces back through Eduardo “Dudu” Barros to André Pederneiras and ultimately to Carlson Gracie, reflecting a traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu heritage. His coaching career includes competition and instruction at all belt levels, with a focus on preparing students thoroughly for the challenges of both training and competing. The academy structures its classes to emphasize steady progression, requiring consistent attendance and a solid foundation before students enter competition.
