Alongside Kenney, Ben Phillips, a BJJ purple belt and Defensive Tactics instructor with a history in amateur boxing and law enforcement, leads the kids’ classes, bringing patience and practical insight to his teaching. Striking instruction is provided by Javier Figueroa, a K-1 Light Heavyweight Champion and Krav Maga black belt, who integrates fight experience with precise coaching. Students at Locks and Chokes train in both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu across age groups, with separate classes for adults and children.
