Claim this gymLeon Jiu Jitsu Martial Arts in Los Alamitos offers structured classes that emphasize both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside Muay Thai training. The schedule reflects a clear division: adults train gi classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings and no-gi classes on Tuesday and Thursday, each followed by Muay Thai sessions. Kids’ gi classes run on the same early weekday afternoons, paired with speed and agility drills to build athleticism from the start. This approach suggests a commitment to balanced development, blending traditional BJJ with striking and conditioning. The academy’s owner leads training at the 3351 Katella Avenue location, which accommodates a range of practitioners by providing wheelchair accessibility. Private lessons are also available on weekends and weekdays, allowing for tailored instruction beyond group classes. Adults have access to open mat sessions, offering extra time to drill techniques or spar under informal supervision. While the gym’s online presence highlights its schedule and training focus, the day-to-day experience centers on consistent practice in both gi and no-gi formats, supplemented by Muay Thai for cross-disciplinary skills. The inclusion of speed and agility segments for younger students underscores a foundational emphasis on athleticism alongside technical skill.
