Khaoboy Thaiboxing & BJJ Academy in North Merrick brings together experienced martial artists with a dedication to both skill and teaching. Head coach Emilio leads the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program, drawing on more than 20 years of boxing and 15 years of Muay Thai experience, as well as a BJJ black belt earned under Weiss Sakhizada. Emilio’s background spans coaching all ages and levels, from first-timers to competitive fighters, and his approach centers on creating a space where hard training and high-level learning are the norm. The BJJ program at Khaoboy covers both gi and no-gi training for adults, with classes marked as open to all levels. The schedule also includes clinch and technical sparring sessions, reflecting a hands-on, practical approach to grappling. Kids can start early with dedicated Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts classes, as well as age-grouped Muay Thai sessions for children ages 5–9 and 10–14. Striking is a major focus at the academy, with Muay Thai taught by a team that includes coaches with national titles and competitive experience at venues like Madison Square Garden. Drop-ins are welcome, and the facility is wheelchair accessible. Khaoboy aims to foster confidence and discipline through martial arts, supporting both new students and those looking to compete.
