Claim this gymInnisfil Brazilian Jiu Jitsu opened in 2019 when Coach PK (Pirashanth Kesavan) set up the studio on the second floor at 990 Innisfil Beach Rd. From that start the club has served Innisfil, Barrie and nearby towns, with a clear focus on structured kids’ classes alongside adult training. The academy name, Innisfil Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, reflects that local base and the coaching continuity provided by PK as head coach. Coach PK brings fourteen years of martial arts experience and more than seven years of coaching experience; he trained under Coach Jason Lancucki of Straight Blast Gym Toronto and leads the regular classes and the children’s program. Offerings listed include kids’ classes and women's self-defence seminars, and the studio emphasises a teaching approach that adapts to different ages and abilities while prioritizing safety — rules such as clipped nails, no open wounds, no food on the mats, and barefoot training are enforced. Class attendance is by appointment only; the studio notes a free initial consultation or free first class for new students and requires a gi for subsequent classes, with gis available for purchase and fitting at the gym. Practical details on-site also include hygiene and courtesy reminders and an encouragement for students to bring water. The facility presents a family-oriented, beginner-friendly training environment with programming built around development, discipline and fitness.
