Inglorious Grapplers is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy situated in the heart of London’s Moorgate district, operating out of the Eight Members Club at 1 Dysart Street. The gym is led by Professor Jude Samuel, a fourth-degree black belt with over 20 years of teaching experience. Jude was the first British black belt awarded by Mauricio Gomes, a pivotal figure in BJJ’s expansion beyond Brazil. His credentials extend beyond the mats as a former Principal Council Officer for the UKBJJA and as a two-time IBJJF European Champion, reflecting a deep commitment to both competitive success and governance within the sport. The academy’s philosophy centres on adaptability and inclusivity, encouraging students to integrate techniques from various grappling arts to suit their individual styles. This approach rejects traditional politics commonly seen in martial arts circles, fostering an environment where practitioners train collectively to push their limits.
