Iconic Jiu Jitsu

Iconic Jiu Jitsu in Berkeley Vale is a true family-run academy, founded and led by Grant and Rachael Bradshaw—both black belts under Luke Beston, with roots in the Royce Gracie lineage. Grant brings over 25 years of martial arts and professional teaching experience as a high school sports educator, while Rachael transitioned to running the gym full time after a career in Emergency Services. Their two sons, Connor and Flynn, have been on the mats since the age of four, making the academy’s coaching team a genuine family affair. The Bradshaws’ approach centres on building a supportive, inclusive community for all ages and backgrounds on the Central Coast. Training at Iconic Jiu Jitsu covers a broad range of programs for children, teens, adults, women, and Veterans or First Responders. Kids are separated into Junior (4–8) and Senior (9–13) groups, with classes focused on confidence, movement, and practical technique, delivered through both instruction and play. Teens (12–19) have dedicated sessions as well as the option to join adult or senior kids’ classes, providing a smooth pathway into higher-level training. The adults’ program runs six days a week, offering early morning, morning, and evening classes in both gi and no-gi, with a balance of self-defence, technical progression, and competition skills. Women’s only classes are held every Friday, led by Rachael—currently the only female black belt coach on the Central Coast—creating a space for women and girls aged 12 and up to train together. Veterans and First Responders are supported with a dedicated Tuesday morning class and are welcome across all other sessions. The weekly timetable includes open mats, fundamentals, and sparring, with drop-ins welcomed and no lock-in contracts or joining fees. Iconic Jiu Jitsu prides itself on practical, current instruction and a strong sense of local connection.
