At Gracie Jiu Jitsu South Euclid, students begin with the foundation of the Gracie University curriculum, learning step by step in structured classes designed for real-world self-defense. Every new adult is introduced to Gracie Combatives, a program focusing on the 36 core techniques that form the backbone of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These classes are taught in the gi and emphasize cooperation and safety, welcoming anyone—regardless of athletic background—to progress at their own pace. The academy also offers the Master Cycle for advanced students, allowing for continued development beyond the fundamentals. Children learn through the Gracie Bullyproof system, which prioritizes confidence and self-control over aggression. The Jr. Grapplers program, aimed at ages 7 to 12, teaches kids to stand up to bullying and resolve conflict without resorting to striking. Parents are encouraged to observe classes, and many families choose to train together, strengthening their bonds on and off the mats. Women Empowered, the academy’s women’s self-defense program, is led by women and focuses on practical scenarios that women may encounter. This class provides a supportive space for women to learn BJJ techniques tailored to real-life challenges. Gracie Jiu Jitsu South Euclid is a Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center, following the lineage and teaching philosophy of Grandmaster Hélio Gracie. Students benefit from both in-person instruction and access to detailed online curriculum materials, making it easy to study and reinforce techniques outside of class.
