Gracie Barra Victorville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Gracie Barra Victorville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was founded by Professor Heath Taylor, a first-degree black belt under Professors Ana Laura Cordeiro and Rafael Novais of Gracie Barra Upland. Alongside Coach Chris Acker, a brown belt, Heath opened the school to bring the Gracie Barra tradition to Victorville and the High Desert. The academy is built on a belief that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a lifelong journey, one that builds character, confidence, and resilience both on and off the mats. Training at Gracie Barra Victorville follows the well-structured Gracie Barra curriculum, starting with the GB1 Fundamentals program for beginners and moving up through advanced and expert classes as students progress. The school offers a full range of gi-centered classes, with no-gi and live training included at higher levels. The GBK Kids Program is a core part of the academy, introducing children to Jiu-Jitsu in age-appropriate classes that focus on self-defense, takedowns, and ground techniques, while also emphasizing discipline and respect. There is also a dedicated program for women, designed as an entry point for those new to Jiu-Jitsu and as a bridge to more advanced training. Classes are scheduled throughout the week, including daytime and evening options to accommodate different schedules. Gracie Barra Victorville welcomes students of all ages and experience levels, and places a strong emphasis on structured, safe instruction. The facility is wheelchair accessible and designed to support a wide range of students. Both founders are deeply involved in daily teaching, working to help every student develop technical skills and personal growth through consistent training.
