Gracie Barra Oval

Gracie Barra Oval was established to bring the structured, traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu system of Gracie Barra to London’s South East, following the principles laid down by Carlos Gracie Jr. The head instructor, Eduardo Carriello, holds a 5th degree black belt with over 35 years of experience, ensuring a deep connection to the art’s lineage and philosophy. The academy embraces BJJ not just as a sport but as a means of personal growth and community, reflecting the Gracie Barra ethos of training body, mind, and spirit while honouring the traditions of the art. Training at Gracie Barra Oval is built around a consistent curriculum that supports clear progression from fundamentals to advanced techniques. Adult students can attend classes tailored to their level, including GB1 Fundamentals and GB2 Advanced sessions, alongside no-gi fundamentals and advanced classes. The academy also caters extensively to younger practitioners, offering multiple kids’ classes such as GBK Tiny Champions and GBK Juniors, designed to develop skills from an early age within a structured environment. Open mat sessions provide additional opportunities for all members to drill and spar freely.
