Gracie Barra Los Lunas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brings the traditional Gracie Barra curriculum to the heart of Los Lunas, New Mexico. The academy follows the lineage established by Carlos Gracie Jr., emphasizing a structured progression through fundamentals to advanced techniques within the gi. This approach reflects decades of refinement in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction, focusing on technical precision, discipline, and a clear class hierarchy that supports steady development. Students at this location train in both gi and no-gi formats, though the gi remains the central element of the program, consistent with Gracie Barra’s global standards. Classes are organized to accommodate different skill levels, from beginners learning basic positions and movements to experienced practitioners honing competition strategies. The academy also offers training for youth, structuring classes by age to foster appropriate skill growth and physical development. The facility is wheelchair accessible, ensuring broader availability to those interested in the art. While specific details about open mat sessions or private lessons are not listed, the academy maintains the traditional Gracie Barra schedule, typically including multiple weekday and weekend classes.
