Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu Great Falls

Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu Great Falls is led by Professor Sean, a Gracie Barra black belt with a teaching lineage that traces through Prof. Fabiano "Papel" and earlier training under Prof. Eduard de Lima, David Vierra, and IBJJF World Champion Marcio "Pe de Pano" Cruz. Professor Sean began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2001 while serving as a police officer in Florida, and has continued to compete and train alongside his children. The school is part of the global Gracie Barra network, following the structured curriculum and philosophy established by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. The academy offers a full progression of Gracie Barra’s signature programs. Adults start with the GB1 Fundamentals class, which builds the technical base and self-defense skills needed to move into the advanced GB2 curriculum. GB2 introduces more complex techniques, live training, and adds no-gi training into the mix, preparing students for the highest level, GB3, which is open to blue belts and above and focuses on expert-level skills. The schedule includes multiple training times throughout the week, with early morning, midday, and evening sessions to accommodate different routines. Open mat sessions are also available for additional practice. Kids’ classes are divided by age and experience, introducing children to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through a structured, age-appropriate curriculum that emphasizes discipline, confidence, and respect. There is also a dedicated women’s program, providing a supportive entry point for women to learn core techniques and progress into the broader class offerings. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and drop-in visitors are welcome for most classes.
