Gracie Barra Fullerton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu opened its doors in 2009, building on the legacy of the Gracie Barra system and its tradition of certified instruction. The academy’s teaching staff have all completed the Gracie Barra Instructor Certification Program, which includes background checks, First Aid/CPR training, and both online and in-person coursework. Since relocating to a larger facility in 2014, the school has focused on maintaining a strong student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that every class—from the youngest beginners to adults—receives close attention. The class structure at Gracie Barra Fullerton follows the established Gracie Barra curriculum, with a gi-focused program for both youth and adults. Kids are grouped by age and experience, starting with Tiny Champs and progressing through Little Champs 1 and 2, Juniors, and an Advanced Youth class. This progression allows young students to build confidence, discipline, and technical skill as they mature. Adults can join fundamentals classes, live training sessions, and advanced classes, all in the gi, with each level designed to reinforce core techniques before moving on to more complex material.
