Gracie Barra Edmonds Brazilian Jiu Jitsu operates under the guidance of Professors Mark Chappell and Bret Stalcup, both black belts carrying forward the Gracie Barra lineage. Kids as young as four begin in the Tiny Champs gi classes, focusing on basic movements and coordination, before moving into the more advanced kids’ gi classes for ages seven and up. Adult students train primarily in gi classes, with additional no-gi sessions available to complement the traditional curriculum. Sparring classes provide practical application of techniques in a controlled environment, reinforcing skill development and competitive readiness. Located in downtown Edmonds, the school shares space with other fitness and wellness studios but maintains a dedicated training area accessible to all students, including those with mobility needs.
