Claim this gymGlobal Martial Arts Academy is a family-owned school on Stone Church Road East in Hamilton that has occupied its current location since 2009. The academy presents a cross-disciplinary curriculum: Wado-Kai Karate, Jeet Kune Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the Pura BJJ designation, kickboxing and Filipino Martial Arts/Kali are all listed as regular programs. The listing names a senior instructor and the head of the Pura BJJ program, reflecting a multi-instructor structure rather than a single-style focus. Training philosophy centres on respect, courtesy and discipline while also offering reality-based and self-defence options. Classes include regular group sessions plus private lessons and periodic women's self-defence workshops; the school has also provided training tailored for police foundations students. Those program types suggest a mix of traditional forms and practical application work across ages and interests. The academy opens its facilities 20 minutes before the first class. Posted hours are Monday and Wednesday 12:30–21:00, Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 14:30–21:00, Saturday 09:00–14:00 and closed Sunday. Contact and additional program details are available through the academy website and its social channels (Facebook: GlobalMartialArtsCanada; Instagram: globalmartialartsacademy).
