GÓES JIU JITSU • A Carlson Gracie Legacy is led by Master Allan Goes, a 7th Degree Coral Belt and direct protégé of Grandmaster Carlson Gracie Sr. The academy carries forward over a century of tradition rooted firmly in the Carlson Gracie lineage, emphasizing a practical and effective style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Established in Laguna Niguel, the school preserves the original philosophy of Carlson Gracie—prioritizing toughness, resilience, and techniques that work under real pressure rather than just competition flair. Training at the academy follows a no-nonsense approach focused on simplicity and efficiency, with classes tailored to the needs and skill levels of each student. While competition is part of the curriculum, the primary goal remains self-defense readiness and the development of a relentless mindset. Students progress through a curriculum that balances fundamentals with advanced tactics, reflecting the aggressive and forward-moving style characteristic of Carlson Gracie’s teachings. The school maintains flexibility in instruction to ensure that techniques remain relevant and applicable. Beyond the mats, Allan Goes instills the values of discipline and mental fortitude that define this Carlson Gracie legacy. The academy’s programs include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA training, with an emphasis on integrating the mind, body, and spirit in line with the samurai-inspired philosophy of the art. Located on Camino Capistrano, the facility is wheelchair accessible and supports practitioners dedicated to mastering authentic Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in its purest form.
