Foxhound BJJ

Foxhound BJJ is led by Daniel Rodriguez, a brown belt under Kristian Woodmansee with over 20 years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience. Opening the gym in April 2025 after coaching in Philadelphia, Rodriguez built the academy around a hands-on teaching style focused on active training rather than lecture. His approach emphasizes individualized instruction that helps students progress efficiently, whether they’re interested in competition or practical self-defense. Classes at Foxhound BJJ include gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for adults and separate kids’ programs divided into ages 4-8 and 8-12. Younger children work on fundamental movement and coordination, while older kids engage in technical drilling and sparring. Adult classes prioritize conceptual understanding, ensuring students grasp positioning and timing to train safely and effectively. The academy also offers kickboxing classes that complement the grappling curriculum, providing striking skills applicable to both competition and real-world scenarios. Located in Haddon Township, New Jersey, Foxhound BJJ operates six days a week with a schedule designed to accommodate various lifestyles. The facility is wheelchair accessible, reflecting an inclusive approach to martial arts training. Drop-in students are welcome, and the gym encourages newcomers to start with a free introductory class to experience the training environment firsthand.
