El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense

El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense has been teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in El Dorado Hills since 2009. The academy was founded to offer practical self-defense and the art of jiu-jitsu to people of all ages, with a focus on both personal growth and athletic achievement. Over the years, the school has seen students grow from their first day on the mats all the way to competing at major tournaments, with a small but dedicated group of competitors representing the team regularly. Classes are organized by age and skill, starting with Pee Wee Jiu-Jitsu for children as young as four, progressing through Kids and Juniors programs, and continuing to adult classes. Both gi and no-gi training are available, along with wrestling and self-defense workshops. The curriculum balances technical instruction with live training, and students are encouraged to set their own pace—whether they are aiming to compete or simply looking for a challenging way to stay active and learn something new. The academy welcomes visitors and drop-ins, and the facility is wheelchair accessible. El Dorado Hills BJJ places a strong emphasis on positive training and mutual support among members, fostering an environment where kids, teens, and adults can work hard, have fun, and help each other improve.
