The academy is led by Andre “Dedeco” Almeida, who began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in Rio de Janeiro in 1987. After years of training and teaching in Brazil, Dedeco brought his expertise to the United States in 2004, founding the Dedeco Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team. His lineage connects to the early roots of modern BJJ and the Gracie family, and he continues to share his passion for the art both as an instructor and as a co-founder of Origin USA. Dedeco’s commitment to family and tradition is evident in the generations of students who have trained together at the academy over the years. Dedeco BJJ offers a range of programs for all ages, including Little Ones, Kids, Youth, Adult, and Women’s Only classes.
