Culture Brazilian Jiu Jitsu opened its doors in Oklahoma City in July 2022 with a clear mission: to create a place where people of all ages could build strength, confidence, and meaningful connections through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Founded by Keilan Dodson, who serves as both owner and Kids Head Coach, the academy was shaped around the values of family, discipline, and respect. The coaching team combines experience and dedication, with Professor Luiz Rodrigues—a fourth-degree black belt—leading the adult program, and a deep bench of instructors including multiple brown, purple, and blue belts guiding students from their first steps through advanced training. The academy’s class schedule reflects its commitment to growth at every stage. Kids can start as early as the Little Warriors program and progress through both gi and no-gi classes, each designed to build not only technical skill but also character and self-confidence. Adults have access to structured gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, as well as open mat sessions for extra practice or rolling. For those interested in broadening their skills, Culture BJJ also offers kickboxing and judo competition classes, all under the same roof. Women’s instruction is led by Heather Willis, who heads both women’s and kids’ programs, ensuring that every student finds guidance and mentorship tailored to their needs. The facility welcomes drop-ins and is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for anyone in the Oklahoma City, Yukon, and Mustang areas to participate. Whether on the mats for self-defense, competition, or personal growth, students at Culture BJJ find a team that values hard work, encouragement, and genuine care for each individual’s journey.
