Core Academy BJJ in Ridgefield, Connecticut is led by Professor Brandon Durham, a second-degree black belt under Professor Tony Passos. Professor Durham brings a broad martial arts background to the school, holding additional credentials as a Red Sash in Choi Lei Faht Kung Fu, a certified Army Combatives Instructor, and a Kru in Muay Thai. His approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is shaped by both competitive experience and years of dedicated coaching, with a focus on clear instruction and practical technique. The academy offers structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs for adults, teens, and kids, with all classes taught in the gi. Adult students can join all-ranks sessions, fundamentals classes for newer practitioners, and intermediate/advanced classes for those looking to deepen their skills. Private lessons are also available by appointment. For younger students, Core Academy BJJ provides beginner, intermediate/advanced, and all-ranks classes designed to teach the fundamentals while building confidence and discipline in a supportive setting.
