Clube De Lutas - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Judo was founded in Seven Hills by Professors Alex Paz and Kalil Pinto, both highly accomplished black belts with decades of coaching, competition, and referee experience at the international level. After working together as coaches for the UAE National Team, Alex and Kalil brought their vision to Australia in 2017, aiming to create a club where martial arts disciplines could cross-pollinate and students could pursue continuous improvement. Their leadership has seen the academy grow beyond Seven Hills to include branches in Rouse Hill and the Northern Beaches. Training at Clube De Lutas is structured and progressive, with a clear pathway for adults from a free introductory session to foundation classes, then through fundamentals, intermediate, and advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Both gi and no-gi classes are available, and the timetable spans early mornings, lunch, and evenings across six days a week. The academy also offers Muay Thai and Judo for BJJ, reflecting the founders’ belief in the value of cross-training. Private coaching is available for members, and competition experience is woven into the teaching, thanks to the coaches’ backgrounds on the world stage. Children’s programs are a significant focus, starting with “Tiny Ones” classes for ages 3–4, then progressing through age-specific groups up to teens. Kids’ Judo is also offered from age five. Coaches are selected for their technical ability and their skill in teaching beginners and young people, ensuring classes remain safe, structured, and enjoyable. The Seven Hills headquarters is the heart of the operation, but membership gives access to all locations, supporting families and individuals with flexible schedules and a broad approach to martial arts in Sydney.
