City of Palms Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was founded by Brock, a lifelong Fort Myers local who turned a childhood promise into a mission to empower others through martial arts. Brock’s early experiences shaped the academy’s core purpose: to ensure kids and adults alike develop confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging. City of Palms isn’t just a training space—it’s a place where families and individuals grow stronger together, rooted in the values of respect, integrity, and resilience. The academy offers structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs for all ages, beginning with Tiny Tots classes for ages 3 and 4, designed to introduce movement, teamwork, and basic martial arts in a playful setting. Kids’ classes are split into 5–9 and 10–14 age groups, with small student-to-coach ratios that allow for focused instruction and steady growth. Teens and adults (ages 15+) train in both gi and no-gi formats, with classes built around practical skill development, pressure control, and building mental toughness. Competition classes for both kids and adults are available by invitation, supporting those who want to test themselves further. City of Palms maintains a full schedule six days a week and welcomes drop-ins for most classes. The academy is active in the Fort Myers community, partnering with local organizations such as the Fort Myers Police Department, WeDefy Foundation, and Adopt-A-Cop. Family discounts and support for veterans and law enforcement reflect the school’s commitment to making jiu-jitsu accessible and meaningful for everyone.
