Chris Holdsworth’s Jiu Jitsu Academy

Chris Holdsworth’s Jiu Jitsu Academy in Orangevale, California is led by head instructor Chris Holdsworth, a fourth-degree black belt and The Ultimate Fighter champion with decades of grappling experience at the highest levels. Alongside Chris, the academy features a talented coaching staff including first-degree black belt Lou and brown belt Dave Kang, each bringing their own perspective and technical knowledge to the team. The academy’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is structured to serve both adults and kids, with a strong foundation in gi training. Adult students can join fundamentals classes—focused on technique and taught by both Chris and Dave—as well as all-levels gi and no-gi sessions under Chris’s direction. For younger grapplers, the kids’ program welcomes ages 6 to 14 and emphasizes safety, confidence, and discipline from the outset. In addition to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Holdsworth’s offers kickboxing and striking classes for students looking to round out their skills and fitness. The facility is wheelchair accessible and open to visitors and drop-ins.
