Catalyst Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Loveland

Catalyst Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Loveland operates out of a spacious two-story facility at 2019 E 11th St in Loveland, Colorado. The academy was founded to fill a gap in Northern Colorado for serious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction combined with striking arts and conditioning. The coaching team draws on lineages connected to renowned figures like Royce and Rodrigo Gracie, Rafael Lovato Jr., and the Ribeiro brothers, as well as local instructors Todd Kornfield and Matt Jubera. Their approach is to tailor training to each student’s goals, whether that means competition, self-defense, or fitness. Students at Catalyst follow a structured curriculum that covers fundamental through advanced BJJ techniques, emphasizing effective grappling, takedowns, and submissions. The program includes gi and no-gi classes, plus dedicated sessions in judo, wrestling, kickboxing, and boxing. Adults can attend all-levels gi classes, beginners’ fundamentals, no-gi training, women’s no-gi, and randori. For younger practitioners, there are age-specific kids’ classes both in gi and no-gi formats, including “Ninjas” for ages 5 to 8 and “Samurai” for ages 9 to 12. Open mat times are regularly available for additional practice. Catalyst also offers strength and conditioning along with yoga to complement martial arts training. The academy focuses on one-on-one coaching and ongoing progress evaluations to keep students moving toward their personal objectives.
