The school follows the traditional Carlson Gracie lineage, focusing on practical, effective techniques developed for real combat situations. The coaching team includes several certified instructors who emphasise hard training and steady progress without ego, creating an environment where students can work seriously towards their goals, whether competing or improving fitness. Training at Carlson Gracie Sheen covers a broad spectrum of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skill levels, from beginner fundamentals to intermediate classes, alongside dedicated sessions for women only. The kids’ programme is split by age groups, starting from four years old up to teenagers, with classes designed to build solid basics and gradually introduce more advanced concepts. No-gi BJJ is also part of the curriculum, complementing the gi-focused lessons. Beyond BJJ, the academy offers wrestling and MMA classes, providing a well-rounded grappling and striking education under one roof. The facility itself includes a 60-square-metre mat area that allows plenty of space for drilling and live rolling, supported by clean, well-maintained equipment. Changing rooms are functional and spacious, and there is a lounge area where members can relax and discuss training. Visitors can book a free trial session without commitment, making it straightforward to experience the coaching style and training atmosphere firsthand.
