Cape May Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Cape May Brazilian Jiu Jitsu opened its doors in Cape May Court House under the leadership of Chuck Hinchcliffe, a martial artist with over 30 years of teaching experience. As both owner and head instructor, Coach Chuck has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on helping each person reach their highest potential through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense. The academy is a South Jersey Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliate and is committed to building confidence and strength in its students, both on and off the mats. The class structure at Cape May BJJ is designed to support growth from the earliest ages through adulthood. Programs begin with the Little Squids class for ages 4–6, progress to Squids for ages 7–9, and continue with Youth Jiu-Jitsu for ages 10–15. Adults have dedicated classes of their own, ensuring that instruction is age-appropriate and tailored to each stage of development. Beginners are welcomed into a safe and structured environment, and the school puts a strong emphasis on both practical self-defense and the traditional values of the art. Training takes place in a modern, climate-controlled facility featuring world-class Fuji mats and wall pads. Cape May BJJ is also proud to partner with the We Defy Foundation, extending its mission to support veterans through Jiu-Jitsu. The academy welcomes students from across Cape May County, offering a place for individuals and families to learn, train, and grow together.
