Caique Jiu Jitsu Walnut Academy

Caique Jiu Jitsu Walnut Academy is led by Professor Albert Alvarado, who brings years of teaching experience and a deep connection to the Caique lineage. The academy operates in close partnership with Master Carlos “Caique” Elias, a red and black belt under Grand Master Helio Gracie and a widely respected figure in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for over four decades. Professor Albert previously served as head instructor at Total Zen Walnut and now oversees a team that includes instructors like Coach Angel Romero, who has been active in the youth program since 2017. The academy’s programs reflect a traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu approach rooted in the gi, with classes for all ages and experience levels. Adult students can progress from fundamentals to all-levels gi classes, and also have opportunities to train no-gi. Sparring, open mats, and striking fundamentals round out the schedule, offering a practical mix for those interested in both self-defense and sport. For kids, the Young Champions classes are divided into age groups (4–7 and 8–12), and there are dedicated sessions for competition preparation and sparring. Caique Jiu Jitsu Walnut Academy places a strong emphasis on guiding students from white to black belt, with a track record of helping over 30 local students achieve black belt status. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and drop-ins are welcome. With its structured programs for children and adults and a direct connection to Master Caique, the academy continues to serve Walnut and the surrounding communities with authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
