Burdette Jiu Jitsu is led by Professor Brad Burdette, who has practiced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over a decade. Located in Glenpool, Oklahoma, the academy focuses on building confidence and self-defense skills through consistent training. Brad’s approach comes from his own experience on the mats, emphasizing growth through challenge and learning from failure. The school serves the local community by offering classes for all ages, from young children starting at age four to adults. Classes at Burdette Jiu Jitsu are structured to accommodate different skill levels and age groups. Little grapplers, ages 4 to 6, begin with shorter 30-minute sessions twice a week, while youth classes cover ages 5 to 14. Adults train in both gi and no-gi formats, with the gi classes reflecting the traditional roots of the sport. The academy also offers no-gi training as a complementary style. Instruction is straightforward, with an emphasis on practical self-defense and technical skills rather than competition-focused programs.
