Bruddas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Bruddas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is run by Mario Cerezo, a fourth degree black belt under Master Charles Gracie, who has been teaching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in the Sacramento area for over 20 years. Since opening in 1997, Bruddas has maintained a focus on traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques, emphasizing fundamentals and practical application. Over the years, Cerezo has promoted more than 15 black belts, reflecting a steady commitment to developing skilled practitioners within the lineage. Training at Bruddas includes classes for both youth and adults, with gi classes offered regularly for all levels. The youth program focuses on building a solid foundation in gi training, while adults can train gi or no-gi depending on the day. The school also hosts open mat sessions several times a week to give students extra time on the mats for drilling or sparring. The schedule is split between the Rancho Cordova location and sessions held at Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu, which supports a consistent training routine. Kids’ classes are a key part of the academy’s offerings, with multiple weekly sessions designed to teach technique and discipline in a structured environment. Adult classes welcome practitioners at all stages, from beginners to advanced competitors. Bruddas keeps the training straightforward and grounded in the classic Gracie approach, aiming to pass on authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without distractions.
