Bromley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - TRICCS ACADEMY is led by Patrick James, a World Masters and European champion with a deep commitment to teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Beckenham. Patrick’s journey began with judo in his youth before dedicating himself fully to BJJ after training under well-respected masters Felipe Alves De Souza and Jose Henrique 'Leao' Teixeira, who hold lineage connected to the Gracie tradition. Since winning gold at the English Open as a white belt and later at the World Masters in Rio de Janeiro, Patrick has focused on building a school that fosters perseverance and technical skill in grappling. Training at TRICCS ACADEMY is structured to accommodate all ages and skill levels, with a comprehensive curriculum that includes fundamentals for beginners as well as classes for intermediate and advanced students. The programme offers gi and no-gi classes, alongside open mat sessions to encourage extra practice. A significant emphasis is placed on youth development, where kids and teenagers learn not only technique but also valuable life lessons such as resilience, respect, and teamwork. Classes are held across several venues in Greater London, including The Spa at Beckenham, providing accessible locations for local practitioners. Membership grants access to sessions across multiple sites, and drop-in options are available for visitors.
