Claim this gymBrasa Bowen Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches with a clear coaching philosophy: technical fundamentals built into live, progressive training. Coach Ryan Bowen runs classes that break techniques into teachable steps, then layer positional sparring and controlled rolling so students practise the same movements under increasing resistance. That approach shows up in both adults’ and kids’ sessions — class plans prioritise repetitions of core escapes, passes and submissions before moving into situational drills. The St. Thomas location at 491 Talbot St operates as part of the Bowen Brazilian Jiu Jitsu group and offers a program mix reflected on the school website: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, Kids Martial Arts, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. Contact is through the listed phone number and email on the school site; the academy’s social pages (Facebook: BrasaBowenbjj, Instagram: brasabowenbjj) post schedule notes and photo updates that show the gym’s regular classes and youth programming. Ryan Bowen is identified on the instructors page as the coach running St. Thomas classes and appears in member testimonials describing the instruction. Facilities and class structure support skill development through a cycle of technique, drill and live application — a practical format for students focused on steady improvement rather than quick fixes. Practical details are available on the academy website, including location (491 Talbot St, St. Thomas, ON N5P 1C3) and contact (519-701-7277, bowenbjj@gmail.com). The site also links to the London Bowen location, reflecting the group’s regional presence while maintaining regular programming in St. Thomas.
